What is the difference between freeze-dried powder and a regular serum?
The core difference is activity preservation. Freeze-drying solidifies the actives into powder under low temperature and vacuum, reducing degradation during transport and storage compared with liquid serums, and typically avoiding heavy preservative loads. It must be reconstituted with the solvent before use; once mixed, refrigerate and use within days.
Does freeze-dried powder need refrigeration? How soon after opening should it be used?
Unopened powder can be kept in a cool, dry place away from light and heat. Once the solvent is added to the vial, it must be refrigerated (0-6°C) and used within 2-3 days, ideally in one go, to preserve activity. Always follow the product instructions.
Can people with sensitive skin use VIRIBIO products?
VIRIBIO does have lines designed for sensitive skin (e.g. the Soothing Ice Gel and Moisturizing Cream). However, sensitivity and triggers differ between individuals, so patch-test a small area behind the ear or on the inner wrist first and wait 24 hours before full facial use. Can freeze-dried powder be injected?
No. VIRIBIO freeze-dried powder is a topical cosmetic product for external use only; injection is strictly prohibited. It can be used with devices such as electric microneedling or derma rollers for shallow introduction, or applied directly after toner. For medical device products, follow strictly the registered indications and instructions for use.
